Closing the Gap Between Inventory and Interoperability

Blog 3YOURMIND | April 16, 2026 | 4 min read

AI-powered part insights, NATO interoperability, and streamlined workflows—see what’s new in our 26.4 LTS release.

Enabling Seamless Interoperability with NATO RAPiD-e

This release introduces a major step forward in secure, standardized data exchange with the integration of NATO RAPiD-e. By enabling a direct connection between the 3YOURMIND Digital Inventory and RAPiD-e, the platform now provides a seamless way to share Technical Data Packages (TDPs) across allied organizations, addressing a critical interoperability gap.

With the new “Send to RAPiD-e” functionality, users can securely push parts and all associated data—including metadata, technical files, and documentation—directly from the inventory to connected RAPiD-e instances. The integration supports standardized authentication via OpenID Connect and allows connections to multiple partner environments, making it possible to share data across different nations and organizations from a single workflow.

3YOURMIND's integration with RAPiD-e enables NATO nations to collaborate while maintaining ownership of their individual digital inventories.

Every transaction is fully traceable, with confirmation steps and history tracking that ensure transparency, auditability, and compliance. By eliminating the need for manual exports and fragmented processes, this capability streamlines collaboration and ensures that critical part data can be shared quickly, securely, and consistently across the NATO ecosystem.

From 2D Drawings to Actionable Part Data

This release introduces enhanced AI-driven context analysis that transforms how 2D technical drawings are interpreted and used within the platform. By automatically extracting key information and generating a preliminary part description upon upload, the system provides immediate context around a part’s function, intended use, and potential manufacturing approach.

In addition to generating structured descriptions, the platform can now identify and link to equivalent CAD models from part suppliers when available. This eliminates the need for manual searching and connects users directly to relevant 3D data, accelerating the transition from analysis to action. At the same time, built-in manufacturing guidance supports more informed decisions by suggesting suitable production technologies and helping teams evaluate whether a part should be produced in-house or sourced externally.

Together, these capabilities significantly reduce the time and effort required to assess new parts, while improving consistency and decision-making across the workflow. By bridging the gap between 2D inputs and 3D data, the platform enables faster, more confident procurement and production strategies

Other Improvements at a Glance

  • Streamlined inventory experience for field users: A simplified interface focusing on core actions, making it easier to find, review, and act on part data in operational environments.
  • Unified navigation across the platform: A consolidated interface that brings key workflows—such as inventory, order management, and production—into a single, intuitive view, reducing complexity and improving overall usability.
  • Improved CSV import and export functionality: A more flexible and robust import process that supports additional data fields, reduces errors, and simplifies bulk data management for faster, more consistent part uploads.
